Campaign Announces $1.2 Million in Grants from Conrad N. Hilton and Oak Foundations

It's more than a week after Thanksgiving, but the 100,000 Homes Campaign still has ample reason for gratitude. The Oak Foundation and The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation each recently announced a grant of $600,000 to be spent over three years, for $1.2 million total in new funding to help us reach our goal of finding homes for 100,000 vulnerable individuals and families by July 2013.
The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation is a family foundation started in 1944 by the man who started Hilton Hotels, which works to make permanent supportive housing a reality for chronically homeless people living in Los Angeles County. The Oak Foundation commits its resources to address issues of global social and environmental concern, preventing homelessness through sustained solutions that improve the economic and social well-being of the most marginalized youth and adults. We are honored to have their support.
"We are so grateful to the Hilton Foundation and to the Oak Foundation for making it possible to find homes for tens of thousands of people," said Campaign director Becky Kanis. "Their support is a game-changer, and this level of commitment shows that homelessness can be solved!"
Huge thanks to our partners at Hilton and Oak for these game-changing grants!
