If you followed Albuquerque Registry Week, you'll remember that Mayor Richard J. Berry hit the streets with registry volunteers at 4am -- and his leadership didn't end there! Mayor Berry publicly committed to housing 75 of Albuquerque's most vulnerable homeless individuals through Albuquerque Heading Home, Albuquerque's local 100,000 Homes effort.
Great news from the Bronx, where BronxWorks and several other social service agencies have helped nearly 250 formerly homeless people move into permanent housing. The announcement coincides with an 80 percent reduction in street homelessness in the Bronx since 2005— a huge achievement that outpaces all other boroughs in the city.
If you saw the Campaign on the CBS Evening News this week, you learned about the remarkable story of Bruce Marzett, a Vietnam combat veteran who survived nearly 20 years of homelessness before moving into a permanent apartment last month.

What a difference a year can make!
If you followed Albuquerque Registry Week in February, you’re probably wondering how things have turned out. We checked in with the team on the ground and discovered inspiring results.
Since Registry Week ended three months ago, Albuquerque has moved five people into permanent supportive housing, including four of the city’s 75 most vulnerable homeless residents.
Since our last "Where We Stand" update, the Campaign has added ten communities, and now includes 83 member communities nationwide. These communities have reported 243 new permanent housing placements, raising the Campaign’s total reported number housed to 7,867.
At its Registry Week last May, Hartford, CT set an initial goal of housing 40 people. This month, they reported their 44th placement, making them the first Campaign community to reach its target.
“It’s been an amazing success,” says Christie Corrigan of Hartford’s Journey Home. “The key was to get as many partners as possible on board from the beginning.”
Last week, we asked you to tune into Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern to help the Travel Channel raise money for the Campaign. For every viewer who participated, the Travel Channel agreed to donate ten cents up to $100,000.
Earlier today, they sent over the results. With your help, we reached our goal!
