Welcome Home, Erma!

This week's Monday move-in story spotlights Erma in Washington, DC.
Erma didn’t feel safe on the streets. For two years, she rode the bus all night to avoid sleeping in doorways and on park benches – something made even more unsettling by the fact that she is legally blind. Two weeks ago, with the help of Friendship Place, an organization participating in the 100,000 Homes Campaign in Washington, DC, Erma moved into a permanent apartment all her own. In the future, she dreams of opening a restaurant that delivers breakfast in bed "to help others feel just as comforted and content as I feel now.”
Welcome home, Erma!
