Welcome Home, Richard!
This week's Monday move-in story highlights Richard in San Jose, CA...
Richard spent more than 20 years homeless in San Jose. Against the odds, he completed an addiction treatment program and achieved sobriety in 2010, but he remained homeless. This month, thanks to Housing 1000, a local collaborative leading the 100,000 Homes Campaign in Silicon Valley, Richard moved into a permanent apartment. He now spends his time volunteering at a local shelter where he once slept and ate his meals. Welcome home, Richard!
